NAME: Felt

DESCRIPTION: This iPad app is aiming at bringing handwritten cards back to life through the support of technology. After selecting your favorite card design, write your message on the iPad using your finger or a stylus for a better precision. Do the same with the address on the envelope and your letter is ready to be mailed. For only $3.99, your correspondent will receive a proper handwritten card, except it was printed. Felt is available for free on the App Store. The service is currently limited to the US but an international expansion is in the works.

AMUSEMENT RATE: Receiving a card from a loved one is a sensation no email could ever replace. Felt got that right and we must recognized the app’s good intentions. The problem lies elsewhere. If you are actually too lazy to write a proper card and send it yourself without the help of your iPad, then I’m afraid there is no more hope for our society.
