Five years after investing the Palais de Tokyo for a gigantic solo show, Loris Gréaud is back in two of Paris’ most prestigious institutions, the Louvre and the Centre Pompidou. The French artist will present two site specific installations: a ghostly sculpture will be installed right under the Pyramid of the museum while a monumental piece will be on view in the Forum of the modern art center. Not much details have surfaced as of yet but coming from an artist whose work includes porn stars filmed by drones’ thermal cameras or nano sculptures invisible to the human eye, one can safely state that the two installations will be worth seeing. A video teaser might pique your curiosity further more. The 30-second black and white video is rather dark and could almost be the trailer for a slasher movie set in a museum. We will have to wait and see how it translates in the two installations. The exhibition opens on June 19th. Stay tuned for more details.

Arcade : I found love in a hopeless place

By Sarah Saint Germain

I’m a romantic cheesy girl, always ready to discover new places to find THE ONE. A good friend told me that video arcades are full of crazy French kissers. I’m surprised, but why not, after all, what have I got to lose! You may find love where you least expect it. But seriously, who goes to the video arcade? Since we have massive televisions, towering games consoles and life-fulfilling iPhones, who needs to get off the couch? The arcade is dying. The golden age of kids losing their pocket money to crazy Time Crisis is over! In Paris, a few video arcades survive. Let's try La tête dans les Nuages (The head in the clouds), a name that speaks immediately to my romantic side.
