AUTHOR: Canadian company OGACO gadgets.
DESCRIPTION: Just like a regular kazoo, the iKazoo contains a flute which acts as a breath synthesizer. You can also produce sounds by tapping on its touch sensitive surface or record your voice with the built-in microphone. If the “most versatile entertainment assistant ever” was primarily built to create music, it can actually achieve so much more. The device is equipped with an Arduino and motion sensors which turn the iKazoo in an optical game controller. The OGACO driver makes it possible to connect the controller with any devices with a built-in camera, phone, tablet or TV. The high-end version of the iKazoo can even become a stylus for your tablet! The iKazoo was first released as a concept last November but OGACO has now created a fully functional prototype ready for production. The project is now being funded on Indiegogo for a delivery next August at the latest. Early birds plan which will get you the iKazoo for only $79 are still available.
AMUSEMENT RATE: Here is one strange looking device. We thought movement was the future of controller, but it might actually be breath. How fun would that be! The project is open source so we should wait and see how developers fully exploit the possibilities offered by the device. For now, the iKazoo is still far from its goal so head over the Indiegogo page if you want to make this concept a reality.
