NAME: Screen Recordings

AUTHOR: Evan Bech, a student in animation at the Kansas City Art Institute.

DESCRIPTION: A random computer desktop becomes the setting of a mesmerizing digital sculpture. Different windows displaying the same animated screen captures give the viewer a sense of mise-en-abyme as well as add an hypnotic effect to the viewing experience.

AMUSEMENT RATE: Evan Bech uses optical feedback in order these glitch art videos. I don’t know if he made these “Screen Recordings” as art pieces or for a college assignment but the simple fact that Bech is only 19 years old make them even more fascinating to watch.
