NAME: Tetris IRL
AUTHOR: Michael Johansson, a Swedish artist.
DESCRIPTION: Piles of various objects are cleverly arranged together to perfectly fit into intricate spaces, between buildings or containers, or to become perfect squares. The installations of Michael Johansson are reminiscent of a game of Tetris IRL or of a crazy complicated Rubik’s Cube.
AMUSEMENT RATE: The artist must suffer from OCD to create these artworks. If he does, he definitely made good use of his disorder to create something amazing. His stacks of objects into piles are so meticulous that he succeeded at creating perfect surfaces and shapes with objects that have nothing in common. Next time you have to tidy up your place, don’t think of it as a chore but instead take inspiration from Johansson’s work, and arrange your furniture Tetris-style.
