NAME: Re: Sound Bottle

DESCRIPTION: This project offers us a new way to create music. Noises of the city or voices become the beats of a unique musical track. Once uncorked, the bottle automatically records the surrounding sounds and add them to a digital database. A software randomly mixes the different recordings to produce a track which is played as soon as the Sound Bottle is open in a quiet environment. .

AMUSEMENT RATE: Jun Fujiwara’s goal with the Sound Bottle was for people to reclaim their musical creativity. The interactivity of her concept enables every one to become a Dj by recording the sounds of their daily life. The sound bottle offers infinite possibilities since everything can become a musical beat. The music featured in the video is surprisingly good, who knew a cat’s meow and a whistle would be such a great match.
