NAME: Windows 95 Tips, Tricks and Tweaks

AUTHOR: Neil Cicierega

DESCRIPTION: These dialog boxes modified by Neil Ciciriega will give you the chills. The Microsoft OS wants your soul and running will not get you anywhere. If the latest versions of Windows or Mac OS are very user-friendly, back in 1995, Windows could look pretty complicated to a newcomer. To the point that the system could harm them? I’ll let you be the judge of that, meanwhile, be careful where you click or you might regret it.

AMUSEMENT RATE: Many people have the sensation their computer is alive and want to communicate with them in some ways. Neil Ciciriega proved them right with these disturbing messages. It would usually terrify me but it’s been a while since I stopped using Windows 95 so I feel rather safe. It might be a different story if Neil comes up with an iOS version of his idea.

Gigantic net suspended in the air becomes a crowd-controlled sculpture powered by Google Chrome

By AMUSEMENT

[DIGITALLY-INSPIRED] Spanning 745 feet between buildings of downtown Vancouver, this monumental interactive sculpture was built for TED's 30th anniversary. At night, the net made of a fiber 15 times stronger than steel comes to live as projectors illuminate the structure. Visitors are then able to interact with the sculpture to transform it into a massive crowd-controlled artwork.
