NAME: Space & Beyond

AUTHOR: Nick Frank, a senior art director in adverstising and photographer based in Munich.

DESCRIPTION: Black and white sublimes the geometry of these close ups of contemporary constructions. We lose our bearings to the point that the imposing architecture becomes an abstract landscape.

AMUSEMENT RATE: Nick Frank doesn’t consider himself a professional photographer. If he isn’t, I don’t know who is. The use of modern architecture to reach abstraction may have been done before, nonetheless, his futuristic images succeed at taking us up to space.
