NAME: Hop! The Following Suitcase

AUTHOR: Rodrigo Garcia

DESCRIPTION: The hassle of carrying your suitcase is over with Hop! This luggage is equipped with a caterpillar system and sensors which track the user’s phone position through Bluetooth. Rodrigo Garcia also thought of a solution in case of theft. The suitcase locks itself if it loses the phone’s signal and alerts the user by sending a vibration.

AMUSEMENT RATE: Don’t forget you have a suitcase behind you or you might very easily lose it! The movements of the “Hop!” are still quite shaky but once Rodrigo Garcia has improved his design and has found a way to make it bigger, his concept will be a huge commercial success. It is no surprise that it was the Spanish winner of the James Dyson Award 2012. You will still have to carry your luggage in staircases, but stop complaining, I’m sure you could use some exercice.
