NAME: The Love Letter
AUTHOR: Axcho is a young indie games developer. Knivel is an independent game designer. They joined just before the Ludum Dare game jam (Ludum Dare is an accelerated game development event. Participants develop games from scratch in one weekend, based on a theme suggested by community).
LOCATION: The Love Letter is free to play here!
DESCRIPTION: ”The Love Letter” won the first place on the theme imposed by Ludum Dare: “alone”. In this game, you embody a young student who discovers a “love letter” in his locker and who looks for some privacy to read his letter in peace. So you have 5 minutes to read the letter in the corridors without being spotted by the other students (yes, our hero has the annoying habit of attracting the plebs like a magnet). Difficult to be discreet when you’re famous…
AMUSEMENT RATING: 4/5. In this period of Valentine’s Day, Amusement threw itself on the game to test it and find out if this love letter is really worth it. And indeed, with no surprise, it is a yes! The party only lasts 5 minutes, but they are 5 minutes of pure pleasure. The former “gods” of high school will probably be nostalgic of their past fame, for the others they can finally enjoy some popularity. But finally the funniest is to go against the principle of the game. When caught, we witness very funny scenes punctuated of “LOL”, “OMG” and other interjections while our hero starts to blush. Dynamic, imaginative, and realistic, “The Love Letter” is a game which pleases by its brevity and its capacity to make us smile!
